“We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.”

Tim Russert 1950 - 2008

Today June 13, 2008 we lost arguably the greatest journalist of all time, Mr Tim Russert. He brought politics into the living rooms of millions of people on Sunday mornings with "Meet the Press" and helped us get answers from politicians and public figures.

He loved politics and you could see it with his enthusiasm as he conducted interviews and how he covered this historic Presidential Election and his coverage was second to none.

I'm sad to see Tim Russert go but he left at the pinnacle of his career and is now a legend among journalists.

Obama Clinches the Nomination!!

June 3rd, 2008
Mark this day on your calendar and remember it because this is the day that Barack Obama clinched the Democratic Nomination becoming the first African American presidential candidate from a major political party.

5 long months of campaigning lead by the grassroots leaders greatly produced this historic moment. This is an unprecedented movement and I firmly believe the enthusiastic supporters will help lead to the Presidency.

He finished the night with yet another outstanding and inspiring speech.

Obama Visits Dallas

Barack Obama visited just about every major city on the campaign trail and on February 26, 2008 visited Dallas Texas and gave a speech at Reunion Arena. I attended this speech and stood in line for 6 hours to get a good sport. It was a long wait, but was worth it and was able get these pictures on my cell phone.

In the many pictures I took that day, I manged to capture this picture of a child that represents the future of our country and the man that will lead the way to change in the background.
